Mike Nel is Durban based and has leaped to fame with the series of paintings he has done with the theme “Africa Overloaded”. The series consists of about 45 paintings that range in size from 300mm x 300mm to 600mm x 600mm done in oil on canvas. The paintings are imaginative, with a humorous “Pop Art technique’’ that is proving to be very popular. Mike’s art is unique and colourful and is very typical of what you will see around the streets of Africa in a humous, fun style that is not offensive.
