Hilary Grant-Currie graduated with a BA Fine Arts degree and a Teachers Diploma from Pretoria University, and has been involved in art, in one way or another for the past 34 years.
Hilary has participated in the professional practice course run by KZNSA, and regularly attends workshops offered by other artists, as well as teaches in her own studio on a regular basis. She regularly exhibits her work, which can be found in many homes both in South Africa and overseas. Her work is represented in a few galleries in South Africa.
Her sensitivity to, and passion for, nature and her environment is expressed in her work. She captures the diverse rhythms, textures and colours of our country. The very act of painting excites her. There is a continuous dialogue between the subject matter, the painting itself, the medium and the artist. On most days you will find her in her studio, or in the bush behind her camera
After starting an indigenous nursery, garden landscaping came as a natural and rewarding digression. In addition, Hilary Grant-Currie also offers Interior Decorating and Curating services.
Hilary has exhibited her works of art throughout the country at many exhibitions.
